At the CCC meeting, we learned that Eddie has traveled all the way from Nepal to help promote Quivira Council's Expedition Encampment happening in April, 2013.  We found out that Eddie traded some Tibetan prayer flags with a Boy Scout at Trappers' Rendezvous for a laptop computer. The Boy Scout thought since Eddie wasn't too talkative that he might be able to communicate better using the laptop.

Turns out there was a Pinewood Derby going on the same day as CCC.  Where Eddie comes from, they don't race cars down a track. They race sleds down a mountain. Eddie stayed a while to see what the Pinewood Derby was all about and made some new Cub Scout friends. He's hoping to see them all at Encampment!

Eddie's first sighting in Quivira Council

A Yeti was sighted at the White Buffalo District's Trappers' Rendezvous at Harvey County Park West. He wasn't very talkative, but we found out his name is Eddie. We learned he is a friendly Yeti. Even though he was a bit out of his cold and snowy element, he was readily welcomed and made to feel at home.  Snow would have only made it harder to see him.
